Amazing Salida Railroad Photos

As most visitors know, Salida was originally a railroad town. In the early years, the Arkansas River Valley was home to a large number of mines. Most raw or finished materials were shipped out by rail. Salida was the rail hub for the valley around 1890 and later.

Thanks to the RR Picture Archives, we can see some amazingly detailed photos from the early years.
