Thomas House Bed and Breakfast - is right downtown, a block from the Arkansas River, and an easy walk to the historic district and many good restaurants. This historic(built in 1888 to house the railroad workers and miners) and interesting bed and breakfast has several styles of rooms, and a number of unique sitting areas. Not that you want to spend much time hanging around. Salida offers too many receational and cultural activities to spend your time relaxing. But, if you want to relax, the Thomas House is a good place to start.
